How AIMetaCleaner handles local file processing, account data, credit purchases, analytics, support records, retention, deletion, and privacy rights.

Last updated: July 4, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Notice explains how AIMetaCleaner collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, use the browser-based metadata remover, create an account, buy credits, contact support, or use related services.

AIMetaCleaner is designed around a local-first file processing model. For the standard browser workflow, your selected files are processed in your browser where technically possible and are not uploaded to AIMetaCleaner application servers for metadata removal. If an optional cloud workflow is introduced later, the product interface should clearly identify the upload behavior before you use that feature.

2. File Processing and User Content

Local processing: File inspection, metadata editing, metadata removal, and export preparation happen locally in the browser for the standard workflow. We do not intentionally collect original file content, cleaned output files, or private metadata values through analytics events.

Optional cloud services: Future features such as long-video jobs, batch history, team storage, or review links may require uploading files to infrastructure such as Cloudflare R2 or another provider. If enabled, those features should show retention period, deletion controls, and plan limits before processing starts.

Content ownership: You retain all rights to files, metadata, and outputs you process with AIMetaCleaner. We do not claim ownership of your content.

3. Information We Collect

We may collect account information such as name, email address, authentication status, account membership, credit balance, purchase history, communication preferences, and support messages.

We may collect technical information such as browser type, device type, approximate region, referral page, page views, feature events, performance metrics, error logs, fraud prevention signals, and security logs. We use this information to keep the service secure, improve reliability, and understand whether product flows are working as expected.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to provide and maintain AIMetaCleaner, authenticate accounts, process credit purchases, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, improve product reliability, measure feature usage, enforce Terms of Service, comply with legal obligations, and communicate service updates.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your file content to train AI models. We do not use private metadata values from your files for advertising profiles.

5. Billing and Payment Data

Credit purchases may be processed by third-party payment providers. AIMetaCleaner does not store full credit card numbers or bank account credentials on its own servers. Payment providers may collect payment method details, billing address, tax information, invoice history, and fraud prevention data according to their own privacy terms.

We may retain purchase records, credit balances, payment confirmation, refund records, chargeback records, tax details, and customer support notes as required for accounting, compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and customer support.

6. Service Providers and Disclosure

We may share limited information with vendors that help operate AIMetaCleaner, including hosting providers, analytics providers, authentication providers, payment processors, email systems, customer support tools, security monitoring services, and error tracking tools. These providers are authorized to process information only as needed to provide services to AIMetaCleaner.

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, governmental request, merger, acquisition, financing, security investigation, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users, AIMetaCleaner, service providers, and the public.

7. Retention and Deletion

We retain account, billing, credit, support, and security information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and maintain business records. Support communications and security logs may be retained for a reasonable period to protect the service.

If optional cloud file processing is enabled, file retention rules should be displayed in the product interface. Users should be able to delete stored files where cloud storage is part of the purchased service.

8. Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To submit a privacy request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request, and some records may be retained where required for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, or security reasons.

9. Children and Sensitive Data

AIMetaCleaner is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use online services without parental consent. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Users should not upload or process files that contain sensitive personal information unless they have the lawful right and appropriate safeguards to do so. The metadata remover is a utility tool and does not replace legal or compliance review.
