How AIMetaCleaner handles account data, local file processing, billing records, analytics, retention, and privacy rights for metadata remover workflows.

Last updated: May 26, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how AIMetaCleaner collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, use our browser-based metadata removal tools, create an account, contact support, or subscribe to a paid plan.

AIMetaCleaner is designed around a local-first file processing model. For the core browser demo, your selected file is processed in your browser and is not uploaded to our application server for metadata cleaning. If we later provide optional cloud processing, team storage, or batch processing, those features will be clearly identified before upload.

2. File Processing and User Content

Local processing: In the current browser workflow, file inspection, metadata editing, and export preparation happen locally where technically possible. We do not require your file content to be transmitted to AIMetaCleaner servers for the standard demo path.

Optional cloud services: Some future features, such as long-video jobs, team review, batch history, or storage integrations, may require uploading files to infrastructure such as Cloudflare R2 or another storage provider. If enabled, the product interface will disclose upload behavior, retention period, deletion controls, and plan limits before processing begins.

Content ownership: You retain all rights to the files you process. AIMetaCleaner does not claim ownership of your uploaded or locally processed content.

3. Information We Collect

We may collect account information such as name, email address, password authentication status, account membership, credit balance, billing status, communication preferences, and support messages.

We may also collect technical information such as browser type, device type, approximate region, referral page, page views, feature events, error logs, performance metrics, and security logs. We do not intentionally collect raw file content, original metadata values, or exported output files through analytics events.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to provide and maintain the service, authenticate accounts, process one-time credit purchases, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, improve product reliability, measure feature usage, enforce our Terms, comply with legal obligations, and communicate service updates.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your file content to train AI models. We do not use private metadata values from your files for advertising profiles.

5. Billing and Payment Data

One-time credit purchases may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Paddle. AIMetaCleaner does not store full credit card numbers, PayPal credentials, or bank account credentials on its own servers. Payment providers may collect payment method details, billing address, tax information, invoice history, and fraud prevention signals according to their own privacy terms.

We may retain invoice records, credit purchase status, payment confirmation, refund records, and tax-related information as required for accounting, compliance, dispute resolution, and customer support.

6. Service Providers and Disclosure

We may share limited information with vendors that help us operate the service, including hosting providers, analytics providers, authentication providers, payment processors, email systems, customer support tools, and security monitoring services. These providers are authorized to process information only as needed to perform services for AIMetaCleaner.

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, governmental request, merger, acquisition, financing, security investigation, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users, AIMetaCleaner, and the public.

7. Retention and Deletion

We retain account and billing information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain business records. Support communications and security logs may be retained for a reasonable period to protect the service.

If optional cloud file processing is enabled, file retention rules will be displayed in the product interface. Users should be able to delete stored files where cloud storage is part of the product plan.

8. Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To submit a privacy request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

9. International Transfers

AIMetaCleaner may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers, including contractual protections and vendor review procedures.
